| American National Standards Institute A117.1 Committee |
| This committee writes the standards for accessibility which are used by government agencies and code writing bodies. The most recent edition was published in 2003, and the Committee is currently meeting to produce the 2008 standard. The sign standards have been completely revised since 1992, and form the basis for the proposed new guidelines of the Access Board. |
