Access Communcations is the information, planning and consulting partner of The H. Toji Companies. Access has been serving the public since 1991, when it first became apparent that architectural signs would need to comply with ADA guidelines. What started as an inquiry led to an article, a manual and later a newsletter and 800 number service. Now Access Communications not only offers the most recent ADA information but also tools to help you comply with the ADA. Through H. Toji Design Associates and H. Toji & Company, a Southern California sign fabricator since 1954, we offer a line of aesthetically designed ADA signs. |

Sharon Toji, founder of Access Communications, comes from a teaching and documents librarian background which makes it natural for her to be in the business of helping people find their way through the codes and regulations of the Americans With Disabilities Act. She has partnered with the archictectural signage company, H. Toji and Company, since 1991 to develop functional ADA signs that are not only compliant but aesthetically complement your building facilities. |

Whether you get information or signs from one of the H. Toji Companies, Sharon Toji's unique expertise stands behind every project. In the years since the ADA was first passed, she has served as the industry representative on the American National Standards Institute, the national body responsible for accessibility standards, the ANSI Sign Task Force, which wrote the new standards which form the basis of the new proposed ADA Accessibility Guidelines, and the Communications Subcommittee of the ADAAG Advisory Review Committee. She is currently a member of the California State Fire Marshal's task force on accessible evacuation, and the Division of the State Architect's task force on accessibility. She has trained building inspectors in many California jurisdictions and has given numerous seminars and workshops. You can be confident that the H. Toji Companies are the definitive experts in accessible signage. |
